Por curiosidade resolvi montar uns kits de Dragsters e gostei da brincadeira (mas os caras que os pilotam devem ser malucos, que máquinas mais estranhas!) Iniciamos com um Topfuel pilotado pela Shelly Anderson em 1997. Kit Revell-Monogram na escala 1/24. Shelly began driving rails in Top Alcohol Dragster in 1992, and moved into Top fuel at the Mopar Mile-High National that very same season. It really is like a family outing when the Andersons go to the drag strip. Shelly’s father Brad Anderson is a three-time NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car Champion and Shelly once served as him crew chief. Her brother Brad is a two-time NHRA Top Alcohol Funny car Champion, who will move into a nitro Funny Car as Shelly’s teammate for the 1997 drag racing season. Not so surprisingly, their mother Carol handles many of the management duties for this family-run racing team.The kit replicates Shelby Anderson’s Western auto/ Parts America/Texico Havoline Top Fuel Dragster as it appear during the NHRA 1997 season.
